Your new company
Hays Education are working with a Secondary School just south of Derby who are looking for a full-time TA to join their dedicated and passionate team of staff. This position will initially be a temporary role, however, for the right candidate, this role has the potential to become permanent.
Your new role
You will be working across K23, KS4 and KS5 to provide excellent support to all students, and really make a difference to their lives. You will be highly committed to the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students, and have this at the forefront of all you do. You will be assisting in a variety of capacities, including 1:1 and small group work. You will primarily be working with SEND students who have ADHD or Autism within the school and be able to adapt your strategies to ensure engagement of the students. You will collaborate heavily with the SENCO, pastoral team and other colleagues to ensure the best possible care for each student.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic and well-organised individual who is passionate about positively impacting children and young people. You will be a great team player, able to collaborate with other staff members across the school. You will have UK-based experience working, mentoring, or coaching children and young people inside or outside the classroom. You will ideally have prior experience working either 1:1 or in small groups with SEND students.
What you’ll get in return
You will receive a daily rate of between £85-£105 (depending on experience).
