This role is based out of my client’s offices in Manchester.

It would be perfect for a field-based Security Engineer with experience in Access Control Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Internet Protocol (IP) technologies.

Job Title: Product Support Engineer / Technical Support

Location: Whythenshawe - Manchester

The selected candidate will provide technical support to installers and engineers, ensuring high standards of customer service and product support. **Full training on the client’s products and systems will be provided!!**

Key Responsibilities: * Provide initial technical support via telephone and escalate calls to the 2nd Line team when necessary.
* Stay updated on new hardware and software product releases.
* Assist 2nd Line support with monitored key sites and customer developments.
* Offer technical advice for legacy site upgrades to current products.
* Develop and provide technical support materials in various media formats.
* Identify and promote training requirements for installation and maintenance customers.
* Occasionally visit sites for consultation, investigation, or rectification of technical issues.
* Collaborate with field sales at the system specification stage.
* Ensure proactive, high-level customer service and demonstrate commercial awareness in support activities.
Requirements: * Fire and Security Field based Engineer looking to come out of the field.
* Strong knowledge of the Intruder Alarms/Access Control/CCTV installation industry.
* Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
* Conscientious and committed to departmental goals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a technically minded approach.
* Outspoken and proactive in developing new ideas for customer support.
* Flexible attitude towards working hours.
Salary: * Starting salary: £30,000
* Increased to £34,179 after 6 months upon completion of training.

* Experienced in customer technical support.
* Knowledgeable in the Intruder/Access service/Installation industry or related technical fields.
* Team-oriented yet capable of working solo.
