This Reading based Assistant Accountant role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to support with the more complex transactional elements and the prep for month end. The position requires a detail focused individual who is able to support the Accounting & Finance department in a fast-paced environment.

You will be part of a small team of 5 finance staff and help out on an ongoing basis.
Description
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
* Help oversee and manage individual accounts.
* Create, send, and follow up on invoices.
* Weekly payment runs
* Bank and cash reconciliations
* Accruals and prepayments
* Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.
* Assist the financial director in creating financial reports on a regular basis.
* Adhere to the company’s or organisation’s financial policies and procedures.
Profile
The successful Reading based Assistant Accountant should have:
* An educational background in Accounting or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other accounting software.
* Previously worked in a finance team where you have given support to a wide range of areas (AP/AR/Month end etc.)
