Job Description:
Absolute are working with a leading provider of specialist insurance, investment and financial support services, both in London and Internationally.

Reporting into the Finance Director, this Senior Tax role is to oversee the tax compliance for multiple Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships that either underwrite in the Lloyd’s insurance market or are associated with Members of Lloyd’s.

This role will include managing the production and submission of client tax returns and also providing support in the production of client’s financial statements. The successful applicant is expected to be able to provide support to the Finance Director in providing advice to clients in respect of future tax planning, inheritance tax exposures and elements of corporate restructuring.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the process of producing and submitting UK Corporation tax returns and UK LLP tax returns
* Collation of data for the submission of overseas tax exercises for Lloyd’s
* Oversee Double Tax Relief calculations for clients
* Maintaining rolling estimates of client’s corporation tax liabilities and managing payments on account
* Overseeing s455 tax compliance
* Providing support in respect of advice to clients on corporate restructuring
* Oversee the integration of data between accounting and tax software systems
* Keep abreast of technical updates within relevant taxes
* Communicate changes in tax legislation to clients
* Oversee iXBRL tagging
* Assist with the processing of Corporate Member Funds at Lloyd’s
* Oversight of client expense claims and processing
* Assist the accounting team as required to help with Nameco / LLP accounts.
* Preparation of holding company and corporate member accounts, including liaising with clients and auditors.
 
Skills & Experience
* Qualified accountant/tax advisor with ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA or similar
* Experience working within an accountancy practice
* Experience in preparing tax returns for SMEs, and Owner Managed Businesses
* Advanced excel skills including the ability to analyse and cleanse large sets of data, and to integrate a range of data sets into consolidate workbooks
* Comfortable communicating with clients, both in person and remotely
* Ability to work flexibly to adapt to changing priorities and problem-solve
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the business
* Exposure to Corporate Restructuring
* Experience of larger company corporate tax would be beneficial
