SALARY: £25,628 per annum (Actual) + Benefits

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Maintenance Assistantwho is a physically fit, enthusiastic and hardworking handyperson with the ability to use initiative and problem-solve.
Working as Maintenance Assistant you will work under the day-to-day direction of the Trusts Maintenance Manager carrying out minor planned general/fabric maintenance and operational tasks as well as PPM’s and general reactive tasks across the various school buildings, including the Leisure Centre.
As the Maintenance Assistant you will work with the Maintenance Manager ensuring general repairs and maintenance are carried out. You will need to be able to use your initiative and problem solve whilst ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team.
Suitable training will be given, as and when required, to achieve competency and the ability to complete the following tasks (not an inclusive list):
* Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled (fire alarm call point tests / water temperature checks, shower spray head clean and chlorination etc.)
* Minor building fabric repairs
* Minor decorating tasks
* Minor plumbing tasks / repairs
* Minor Joinery tasks / repairs
* Minor general ad-hoc tasks
Lifting, moving and handling of furniture and deliveries also form an important part of the job.
Full health and safety training will be provided
