Position: Customs Clearance Agent
Salary – up to £28,000
We are recruiting for an established freight forwarding business in Leicestershire in supporting the recruitment for a customs clearance agent on a permanent basis.

This role will be based within the office working Monday-Friday 8.30-5.00pm with Saturday shifts twice a month; (with choice of extra holiday or pay).

Job Role:
Processing customs declarations to HMRC for imports and exports.
Checking documentation to ensure compliance with all laws to facilitate the export and import of goods.
Liaising with importers and exporters to obtain necessary information for customs declarations in accordance with UK laws.
Providing guidance to clients on UK customs procedures and laws.
Liaising with Border Force and other government agencies when required.
Working alongside the transport department to provide seamless, customer-focused logistic solutions.
Essential Skills:
Experienced Customs clearance agent
CDS import and export experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Good communicator – written and verbal
Reliable team player
Attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
Experience in logistics, distribution, transport, or customs
Experience with computer systems
Experience in administration or data entry roles
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm
2 x Saturday shifts per month (with choice of additional pay or holiday)
Extra shifts also available
