Buyer
Swindon
Monday - Friday - 0800 - 1700
£30,000 - £40,000
Our client is looking for a Buyer to join their team, to monitor and maintain good stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
With a responsibility to buy the best quality equipment, goods and services at the most competitive prices to ensure the company operates in the most efficient manner.
Duties - Supply Chain & Purchasing
* Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, costs, product information
* Manage and review supplier price lists
* Attend supplier meetings
* Monitor supplier performance
* Negotiate purchasing terms
* Maintain relationships with existing suppliers
Duties - Stock Management
* Create bills of materials
* Maintain product pricing and correct product information on the system
* Raise production orders / manage stock transfers and adjustments
* Forecast and maintain good stock levels of main product lines
* Create reports to manage low stock levels, slow/fast moving products, out of stock lines
* Set reasonable re-order levels 
Duties - Internal Team Communication
* Support the management team in tendering processes 
* Make the accounts team aware of any new suppliers and agreed terms
* Provide full advice on costings and availability to the team
* Communicate any price increases or product changes
* Share new product information with the sales and marketing team
* Taking messages and liaising with other team members from other departments
