H&S/Compliance Officer

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Our established client based in Wellingborough is recruiting a Health & Safety/Compliance Officer on a permanent basis.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly team and manage Health and Safety as well as learn BRCGS Compliance across multiple sites locally. 

Working within a fast-paced environment, in a great culture where teamwork is promoted, your responsibilities will include:-

* To implement and monitor all aspects of Health and Safety and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* To monitor and review Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures and ensure compliance at all sites.
* Write and review Risk Assessments and work alongside the team to ensure that processes are implemented.
* To develop and maintain safe systems of work and provided advice, training and practical support.
* To Identify potential hazards and make necessary changes to minimise risks.
* To keep up to date with legislation and developments in Health and Safety and within the packaging industry.
* To complete any Health and Safety training requirements.
* To work within the Quality Team and learn all matters relating to BRCGS packaging materials including (Full training will be given)
Skills and requirements required...
* Professional qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH,NEBOSH)
* Experience in auditing, inspecting and surveying to identify any issues
* Experience in managing Health and Safety in a complex, multi-site environment
* Experience with fire safety
