Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Officer for our Public Sector client based in South Yorkshire.
Job Summary:
* Directly support the accountants in the provision of clear, accurate and timely financial information
* Act as a single point of contact for routine financial matters
Key responsibilities - Finance Officer:
* Profile all revenue, capital, and grant budgets in accordance with the budget setting timetable
* Prepare routine budget working papers for the budget setting process
* Identify, query, and explain all revenue and grant, non-pay, current month and year-to-date variances
* Calculate all accruals, prepayments, collaboration adjustments and external recharges
* Gather, analyse, and reconcile pay data to pay budgets
* Identify current month and year-to-date variances
* Run the month-end capital reports
* Monitor Capital variances
* Carry out year-end duties
Person Specification - Finance Officer:
* Full member of AAT
* Experience of working in a financial environment
* Experience of budgetary control and year end procedures
