Location: Tipton, West Midlands
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4pm Friday

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, payroll management, and VAT returns using Sage 50.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
* Process payroll accurately and on time.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
* Generate financial reports and statements as required.
* Maintain and update accounting records and files.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Sage 50 is essential.
* Strong experience with payroll management.
* Excellent understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
* Solid knowledge of VAT regulations and returns.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
