Power Engineer

Are you an experienced Power Engineer passionate about maintaining seamless low-voltage power systems? We have the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Power Engineer, you’ll install, operate, and maintain AC & DC low-voltage power systems, including UPS, environmental systems, BES, and security/fire alarm systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring uninterrupted operations.


Key Responsibilities:

* Schedule and monitor vendor repairs for UPS, HVAC, motors, controls, plumbing, and generators.
* Perform repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
* Conduct corrective and preventive maintenance, including emergency support.
* Resolve electrical and mechanical issues in data center equipment.
* Provide emergency cover on a rotational on-call basis.

* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
* Proficient with electrical systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.


Essential Qualifications:

* 3+ years’ experience with complex electrical systems.
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) – Grades A-C.
* Electrical Technical Diploma, L3 NVQ & AM2.
* City & Guilds 2382-22 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018.


Desirable Experience:

* Data Centre or high-availability environment.
* Understanding of UPS and power generation.
* Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance.
* LV Authorised Person experience.
