Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a growing SME business based near Dundee.
As the Financial Controller you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely financial reporting of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis whilst also driving efficiencies and implementing controls.
The company is approx £12m turnover with strong EBITDA.
Reporting
* The Financial Controller will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee a Finance Team of 3

* Salary will be £60-80k depending on experience with a 20% performance bonus

Assignment Details
* Oversee the preparation and analysis of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and information.
* Manage the business’s budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring adherence to financial and budgetary policies.
* Report to the Managing Director and Board with timely and accurate financial information
* Manage the business’s cash flow and liquidity.
* Develop, implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of the business’s accounting ledgers.
* Collaborate with operation line managers to optimize financial performance and identify areas for cost reduction.
* Co-ordinate the annual audit and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
* Lead and manage the Finance team of 3.
* Ensure that the business is compliant with all tax, payroll and VAT requirements and deadlines.
* Drive updates and improvements to financial accounting and reporting systems.
Skills Required
* Qualifications preferred: CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Experience at Financial Controller level in a similar position ideally within a growing SME business
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
* Experience of Sage 50 Accounts
* Strong excel skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
