Job Description:
Senior Test Automation Engineer - Front Office/Trading/UI sought by leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf.
**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week onsite**
Role
* We calculate very large volumes of results data on a front-office risk system, hence there are considerable challenges in data modelling, processing & grid computing.
* Therefore, we require a sophisticated UI to present reports and perform data analytics for our traders and we are currently focussed on a green field project to re-engineer our UI architecture.

Key Responsibilities
* Stand up and implement browser automation test framework using selenium.
* Extend framework for desktop UI specific functionality.
* Implement automated testing solutions at multiple solution layers, including UI and API.
* Implement integrations between automation tools and our test management tooling to aid centralised and efficient reporting and analysis.
* Identify opportunities to implement test automation within existing solutions.
* Develop UI automation tests utilising BDD/Gherkin methodologies.
* Develop API and other integration automated tests.
Experience / Background
* Have a strong background in desktop test automation design.
* Have experience in browser test automation design.
* Be able to demonstrate experience in designing and implementing test frameworks using tools such as Appium(WinAppDriver), AutoIT , Sikuli, WinAmp
* Have experience in implementing API test automation.
* Be fully conversant with concepts of BDD and its application within automation testing.
* Be able to implement frameworks utilising a page object model and to drive process to ensure appropriate reusability and low maintenance of the frameworks.
* Have experience working with an agile environment along with being able to accurately support, estimate and plan within teams around the effort and timings of automation test design and implementation.
* Demonstrate their ability to innovate and continuously question existing process with the intention of driving continued improvement and efficiency in the testing process.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working with Selenium (Chromium).
* Experience working with SpecFlow or any other BDD frameworks
* Experience working with Jira and Zephyr
* Experience in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Automated Deployment environment with tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy is desirable.
* Knowledge of banking or financial service is a plus.
