Job description:
Junior Security Analyst
Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity to join our Cyber team as a Junior Security Analyst.  Working as the primary responder to all Premier Foods security alerts and threats, the role offers exposure across a broad spectrum of security technologies: Network, Cloud and Endpoint.
We are looking for someone from a technical background (security knowledge is desirable but not essential) who has a high level of attention to detail and works well under pressure.  Our Winchester office is available for required meetings and office working.
As Junior Security Analyst, you will become familiar with a full stack of security controls and gain an understanding of security best practices and frameworks.  You will own security alerts and incidents from creation to resolution, and be a point of contact for all IT Teams, Technology/Support Partners, and end users with security related queries. 
The role….
* Assist with the implementation, operation, and maintenance of security controls and technologies including email protection, endpoint protection, network security, security awareness, vulnerability management, configuration management, and identity/access management toolsets
* Demonstrate an interest in Cyber Security and a basic awareness of security risks, technologies, and trends
* Contribute to the development, review, and testing of Incident Response plans, security policies and procedures, and detection methodologies/use-cases
* Collaborate with colleagues on the implementation of technical changes to facilitate security improvements
* Occasionally visit Premier Foods sites as required
* Assist with the creation, maintenance, and review of technical and process documentation
Key Requirements
* Experience of core IT tech e.g Windows OS, Office 365, Networks
* Demonstrable problem solving & analytical skills
* Ability to negotiate with and influence others to drive results across teams
* Ability to be pragmatic and balanced in response to a security risk or incident
* Awareness of Cyber Security Frameworks such as the NIST CSF
* Ability to effectively build relationships and work collaboratively across functions
* Basic understanding of the tasks performed by security technologies such as email security, endpoint security, security awareness, network security, vulnerability management, configuration management, and access management toolsets
