Job Title: 2nd Line Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Verus Recruitment has a great opportunity for a 2nd Line Engineer at a local MSP. Our client prioritizes their culture and reputation, earning multiple awards for their excellence. In this role, you’ll provide technical support to clients both remotely and on-site.

Technical knowledge:
* Knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, user accounts, file management, and troubleshooting
* Basic understanding of macOS interface, system preferences, and software installations
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Exchange Online
* Basic understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and DNS
* Router configuration skills, including NAT and port forwarding
* Understanding of DHCP and dynamic IP assignment
* VPN setup and troubleshooting
* Familiarity with computer components and hardware setup
* Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Experience with peripheral devices like printers and scanners
* Basic knowledge of smartphones and tablets
* Usage of remote desktop software
* Software installation on various operating systems
* Awareness of OS and software updates
* Basic knowledge of antivirus software for system protection
* Familiarity with remote assistance tools
