Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our clients, located in West Lothian to recruit a part-qualified candidate for a new Cost Accountant position.
Our client is seeking an ambitious candidate, who will be directly supporting the Assistant Financial Controller & wider finance function to achieve business objectives. On offer is the chance to work in a fast paced, growing manufacturing business who have an excellent reputation in the market.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining and improving the Cost Accounting function related to Wyman Gordon Ltd to provide management with a timely and efficient service
* Ensuring the Company adheres to sound accounting principles and aim to review and determine potential problem areas
* Maintaining accurate costing information to assist in the pricing of products for the company
* Ensuring you continue your understanding of inventory procedures, support and offer guidance on inventory processes and police internal controls
* Producing and Understanding Variable Cost information issued to Operations and Senior
* Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller in identifying process improvements
* Maintaining and improving productivity, ensuring schedules & customer needs are met
Candidate
* Part-Qualified Accountant
* Advanced Ms Excel & analytical skills
* Current or previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
* Excellent communication skills
