Purpose of the Role:
This role combines the strategic insight of a finance business partner with the technical expertise of a systems accountant. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure financial stability, operational efficiency, and data integrity, with a focus on ensuring financial systems and processes are fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
* Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting.
* Provide insightful analysis and reporting on financial performance, identifying key trends and opportunities.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Business Partnering:
* Support the Senior Business Partner with all business partnering activities ensuring the finance team are seen as a trusted advisor to senior management and business units, providing financial insights and recommendations.
* Facilitate effective decision-making through financial analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
* Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
Systems and Process Development:
* Support the Senior Finance Business Partner with leading the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
* Design and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to integrate financial systems with operational platforms.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
* Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring the timely completion of audit deliverables.
Project Support:
* Support finance-related projects, including system upgrades, process improvements, and change management initiatives.
* Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
* Monitor project outcomes and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIMA) is a plus.
* Experience in manufacturing environments, demonstrating an understanding of the unique financial challenges and processes within the industry.
* Proven experience in a finance business partner or systems accountant role, ideally within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
* Strong understanding of financial systems, ERP implementation, and process improvement methodologies.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
