Facilities Assistant

Type: 3 months
The Estates Division at the University of Cambridge is a multi-disciplinary organisation responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of the University estate, along with the provision of a variety of related services.
Our client is looking for Custodians/Facilities Assistants to start as soon as possible at a new center being built in Madingley Road (CB3) for a minimum period of 3 months. This is often seen as a good way into the University.
The Centre will undergo a series of works to get it ready for occupation. The scope of this work is varied and will encompass multiple contractors all of whom will be unfamiliar with the building. Specific duties will include but not limited to:
* Managing contractor access in/out of the building.
* Chaperoning and giving access to required locations.
* Lift Management.
* Waste Management.
* Compliance activities relating to building safety.
* General building operations duties.
This is a temporary post for 3 months, full time, start date as soon as possible.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.5 hours per week
