* Support the care home manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
* Lead the home in the manager’s absence.

* Ensure clinical oversight of all aspects of residents’ care.
* Promote residents’ rights and encourage participation in activities.
* Help residents access local services and community activities.
* Monitor business performance and quality of care.
* Ensure staff are up-to-date with current policies and practices.
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
* Work within the NMC codes of conduct.
* Provide professional supervision to care and nursing staff.
* Ensure effective communication with relatives and healthcare professionals.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management.
The ideal Deputy Nurse Manager will:
* Have previous experience as a Clinical Lead Nurse or Deputy Nurse Manager in a similar setting.
* Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills.
* Be knowledgeable about NMC codes of conduct.
* Have experience in recruiting, training, and supervising staff.
* Be able to provide professional supervision to care and nursing staff.
* Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
* Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of care and management.
