ServiceNow Technical Manager
  • Scotland,Glasgow City
  • full-time
  • £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
Job Description:
ServiceNow Manager required for a growing Renewable Energy business, based out of Glasgow.
The company:
They are a global Renewable Energy business, headquartered out of the UK. They have been around for a number of decades and have thousands of staff, with a recent growth phase both in the UK and the US.
They have a large technical team based out of Glasgow, and are looking to add a ServiceNow Manager to that team. This role is a hybrid one, and would be looking for someone in the Glasgow office ideally 3 days a week. They are based centrally, and there may be a little flexibility on the above.
The role:
This is a newly created role for the company, with the growing presence of ServiceNow across the business. The role is a combination of management, as well as some hands-on skills required - roughly 50/50 in nature. You will be looking after a team of 3 ServiceNow Developers and Administrators initially, and this number may increase as the presence of the technology grows. Currently, it is rolled out across a few teams and there is an ever growing interest from other departments.
The team consists of 1 UK based individual, and 2 in the US (although your hours will be normal UK). Although not a technical focus, you will require enough knowledge in developing in ServiceNow to be able to ’muck-in’ and perform day to day support of the system. As well as this, you will be required to have the softer skills and manage stakeholders (internally) across the business. On top of this, you will be expected to drive the strategy and roadmap for ServiceNow across the business and be a key player in that area.
Key Skills required:
** Management or lead experience (ideally team of 2+ individuals)
** Strong technical ServiceNow experience - familiarity with common business processes and operating models across areas including HR, Finance, IT etc
** The ability to write code or scripting (e.g. JavaScript)
** Cloud experience across Azure (or AWS, GCP etc)
** Strong stakeholder management skills
** Knowledge of ITIL
** Experience with common integration methods & technologies (e.g. RESTful API’s, SOAP, Integration Hub)
This is a role for a Manager with a technical background, interested to work across a thriving renewables business.
