Job Description:
Project Manager - Aftermarket & Europe/Rest of the World IPT
As a Project Manager in the Aftermarket & EROW IPT, you will be part of a cross-functional team delivering projects to support ongoing production, spares/repairs, and the support of our cutting-edge AAR equipment and technologies. You will deal with some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role with a broad range of responsibilities.
Primary Function
The primary function of this role will be to identify and execute opportunities to increase revenue. This might involve:
Identifying opportunities to transfer work from supplier or other site to in-house
Tackling issues that could prevent on-time delivery of a project or item.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a mixture of true project management and expediting tasks already in the plan.
* Address aftermarket challenges, particularly those involving obsolescence.
* Develop and implement plans to resolve obsolescence issues.
* Motivate and lead cross-functional teams without requiring constant supervision.
* Drive change and facilitate problem-solving to resolve day-to-day issues.
* Execute Risk, Issues, and Opportunities Management to control risk exposure and capitalise on opportunities.
* Plan and perform Life Cycle Gate and preceding Reviews.
Requirements
* To be considered for this role, you will need to evidence:
* A degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in the industry.
* Experience working in a matrix organization.
* A demonstrated track record of achieving challenging milestones and budgets.
* Full project lifecycle experience.
* Ability to create, manage, and execute a project plan.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others to achieve goals.
* Ability to build relationships with customers and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with MS Office applications and Microsoft Project.
* Capability to facilitate problem-solving and engage in resolving day-to-day issues.
Personal Attributes
* A ’can-do’ attitude is essential.
* Ability to motivate and lead.
* Skill in managing multiple projects and priorities.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Delivery focused with a clear communication style.
* Capable of embracing and driving change.
* Ability to present to customers and senior leaders.
Preferred Experience
* Aerospace and engineering experience are preferred but not required, Experience in medical or automotive and other similar industries is also acceptable.
* A recognised Project Management qualification is preferred but not required.
* Experience in commercial, engineering, or operations within the aerospace industry would be preferred.
* Experience managing aerospace system is preferred but not required
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK, adhering to ITAR restrictions and able to obtain baseline security clearance.
