We are looking to recruit a Senior Legal Cashier/Finance Manager for a well-regarded law firm based in Preston.
Joining a dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and driving strategic financial decisions. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing legal accounts, financial planning, cost control, and ensuring sound financial management practices.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the financial planning and budgeting processes to optimise financial performance.
* Managing the accounts payable functions and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
* Implementing cost control measures to enhance profitability.
* Overseeing financial accounting activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
* Analysing financial data and prepare reports for senior management.
* Preparing management accounts for the firm
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
Requirements:
* Experience in legal cashiering and finance essential
* Proven experience of 4 to 6 years (or more)in financial management roles.
* Strong understanding of financial principles and practices and management accounting
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
* Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
