Location: Fordingbridge
Salary: £30k-£35k depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hrs pw with flexibility around the actual working hours, hybrid working after training

Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working our client who are a leader in the aviation industry. Well established and with a growing global team they are now looking a talented and analytical Data Analyst to join their dynamic team and help drive data-driven decision-making in the aviation sector.
As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets related to various aspects of the aviation industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic business decisions and improve operational efficiency. Your insights will play a crucial role in optimising our services and enhancing the overall customer experience.
This role will see you analysing data on quite a large scale. You will be able to manipulate data using Power BI or Excel and you will also be responsible for searching vendor portals for pricing. Our client generally offers their customers a fixed price contract so have to build in the % mark up on products and any fluctuations over the period of that contract.
Full training in aviation or aerospace can be offered and you must be able work in the office full time for the training period of around 2/3 weeks.
You will be looking at data from an EPR as well as from vendors price books, vendor quotes and the company last bought the products (looking at volumes etc) and then going out to market to see how offers the best price.
The successful Data Analyst will:-
* Proven experience working as a Data Analyst in the aviation industry or a related field but we will also consider those with general data analyst skills and experience
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner


Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from multiple sources within the aviation industry
* Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and visualizations to extract meaningful insights
* Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports and dashboards to track and monitor them
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and aviation technology
