The ideal candidate will be practice trained and looking to make their 1st/2nd move out of practice.
Job Description:
As the Group Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health and reporting of the company. You will be responsible for statutory and monthly reporting, VAT returns, and managing a team of three junior finance professionals. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting various project work within the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Manage the monthly reporting process, including consolidation and review of financial data.
* Lead and execute project work within the finance function, providing financial insights and recommendations.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC requirements.
* Supervise and mentor three junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
* Liaise with external auditors and other stakeholders as necessary.
* Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Practice trained with an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
