Job Description:
We are looking for aHead of Supply Chain to join our team at our Head Office, with frequant travel to our DC in Burton on Trent . You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Head of Supply Chain role:
This role will lead the Supply Chain team, whilst also being responsible for the implementation of the supply chain strategy across people, processes and systems. Responsibility for the day-to-day management of inventory budgets and availability targets.
You will be accountable for the inventory budget, ensuring there is sufficient governance and rigour over the stock ordering process, whilst making sure inventory is kept within budget, driving working capital improvements where possible and maintaining availability.
You will be working closely with our Trading and Operational teams, leading robust challenge where necessary to ensure working capital is properly managed, as well as being responsible for delivering cost-effective business process improvements and working with our supplier base to drive enhanced levels of service.
This role will work seamlessly alongside and in support of the Distribution Centre as well as being a key interface with field-based Operations, Finance, Buying, Marketing and Ecommerce teams to ensure a continuous stock management and delivery system is executed. Regular visits to our DC in Burton on Trent will be required
What we’re looking for in our Head of Supply Chain:
* Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in Supply Chain management and will demand the highest standards in efficiency, service and value for money. You will have extensive experience managing domestic as well as international suppliers and associated freight routes as well as having a background in Demand planning.
* You will possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to lead significant organisational step change, whilst developing an integrated supply chain function. You will be experienced in change management leadership, being able to ensure the pace and engagement of the supply chain strategy can be met, business wide.
* Experience of running or working closely with warehouse operations, for both Retail and Ecommerce, would be highly advantageous.
* Essential competencies needed to deliver a first-class supply chain function will be your ability to interface and negotiate with internal departments and external suppliers at all levels to foster collaborative practices with allow our business to thrive.
