Group Accountant
Bury St Edmonds
£60,000 - £70,000 + Car + annual bonus
We have been engaged exclusively to work with an exciting manufacturing group to hire a talented, audit trained Group Accountant. Reporting to our clients CFO this role is essential as the business enter their next phase of growth.
With a number of businesses in the group this role will own all group consolidation and statutory accounting and audit responsibilities and work closely with the wider accounting team to ensure the smooth running of our clients small, shared service function which supports all group businesses.
You will hold responsibility for leading on annual audit activities, governance, controls and acting as the key contact for the external auditors.
Its likely this is your 1st or 2nd move after audit, and of course you will be qualified (ACCA/ACA). Our client would love to attract a candidate with ample experience in Audit, preferably within a mid tier/smaller firm and more recently you will have gained industry experience (if you have any experience working with manufacturing clients or similar that would be great). You enjoy taking ownership of all group accounting processes and thrive on being able to suggest and implement better ways of working.
