This is a high profile and highly visible Finance Manager role for one of our great, reputable, dynamic large retail clients. Established over 20 years ago this is an established but growing mini-channel retail business going through an exciting period of change and growth.
About the role
The Finance Manager will coach and develop 2 direct reports, working closely with the head of department. The specific area of responsibility will be linked with costs and overheads but there is a wide scope of other responsibilities. This is a fast paced retail environment and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to develop and shape this role in this type of environment, whilst managing a small team.
Key responsibilities
* Analysis of data, managing and challenging key areas of cost
* Business partnering to challenge and improve existing assumptions leading to increased profitability
* Support the team in the production of relevant analysis
* Continuous improvement of processes
* Contribution to Financial Planning
* Understanding external commercial impacts
* Support the team with the production of content for the monthly Management Accounts.
* Coach, mentor and manage a team of 2.
Finance Manager Person profile
* CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Experience gained within an omni-channel retail/consumer background highly desirable
* A strong analytical approach
* Excellent communication skills across all levels with the ability to influence
* Used to adapting and dealing with change
* Deliver to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
* Ability to work calmly under pressure
