Job Description:
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - PERM - B,HAM - 25-30K pa + STUDY SUPPORT
* Management of the general accounts email inboxes and external post to ensure that all correspondence is dealt with efficiently and promptly

* Posting of purchases invoices onto account systems ensuring that all invoices have been correctly approved by either a stock purchase order or approval according to the Authority Matrix for non-stock purchases and services

* Resolving purchase ledger queries and supplier statement reconciliations

* Creation of periodic proposed supplier payment lists

* Allocation of supplier payments to supplier ledgers

* Download of daily bank and other receipt files from i.e. PayPal, credit card merchants and daily reporting of bank balances

* Sales ledger posting of receipts and allocations to customer accounts

* Credit Control - to chase debt from UK and international customers by phone and email and to assist in the resolution of any queries which may be delaying customer payments

* Weekly Aged Debt reporting and attendance at debtor meetings between sales and finance

* Creation of supplier and other payments onto online banking portals

* Support with bank and cash reconciliation

* Support with month end routines
