Job Description:
Assistant Ecommerce Manager - Fashion and Home Furnishings
The Assistant Ecommerce Manager will report to the Ecommerce Manager while also maintaining a direct reporting line to the CEO. The role is based in Wimbledon Head Office, and the current requirement is to work four days a week at the office and one day a week remotely from home.
Responsibilities include:
* Assist with the day-to-day management of the site
* Working closely with all brands, suppliers and the internal Buying teams to collate all product information to a set criteria
* Product lifecycle management - Overseeing that all products, categories and pages are uploaded accurately onsite. Where applicable ensuring that all product descriptions use customer-friendly language, reworking page titles, links, imagery and meta descriptions
* Responsible for enhancing site navigation, refining the customer journey, and strategically placing products to sustain growth and drive online sales
* Onsite digital merchandising - Responsible for the set-up of all landing pages and the categorisation of product ranges
* Overseeing web development- testing and implementing site updates as well as working closely with web developers and external agencies to optimise the sites functionality
* Responsible for sharing the Ecom weekly trade pack with the senior management team - reporting on sales, key metrics and promotions. Key metrics include Net & Gross sales, Conversion, AOV, Returns Rate etc.
* Planning and leading campaign recommendations using website analytics and seasonal trends to steer this
* Working alongside the Marketing team to ensuring all campaigns launch on time
Requirements of the role:
* Ecommerce experience essential, preferably in Retail
* Experienced in working with external Agencies including SEO, PPC & Development agencies
* Experienced in working with brands & suppliers
* Excellent attention to detail essential
* Advanced in Shopify and the back-end process
* Strong copywriting skills
* Numerate and analytical
* Strong time-management and organisational skills
* A quick learner, self-motivated and proactive
* Flexible and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
* Commercially drive with a keen interest in fashion, home interiors and retail preferable
