LTF Recruitment have partnered with a number of secondary schools, located across Birmingham, to appoint Behaviour Mentors to join in the new academic year (September 2024).
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students to provide emotional, social and behavioural support. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in promoting positive behaviours, improving student engagement and contributing to the schools positive learning environment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide 1-1 and group mentoring sessions to students to address behavioural and emotional challenges
* Develop and implement behaviour support plans tailored to individual student needs
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to create and maintain a positive learning environment
* Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting on outcomes
* Conduct workshops and activities that promote social skills, resilience and positive behaviour
* Assist in the development and implementation of school wide behaviour policies and initiatives
Person Specification:
* Experience of working with young people in an educational setting, or in a similar capacity
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and emotional support strategies
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff and parents
* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
