Job Description:
Summary Based from our building workshop on the Kingston Lacy Estate near Wimborne, you will bring your expertise and service focus to the team, supporting us with the maintenance of our historic tenanted buildings.
What it’s like to work here Working as part of a team you’ll carry out high quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishments to our properties across the let estate, for example decoration, tiling, minor plumbing works, plastering, joinery and stone masonry. You’ll know what methods and materials are appropriate for our historic properties and will strive to use resources effectively. You’ll be proactive in your approach to risk management and ensure risk assessments are undertaken and all work is compliant with the relevant legislation and policies. You’ll work in collaboration with colleagues and liaise with tenants so that expectations are managed and regular updates are communicated.
What you’ll be doing You will have a wide range of basic construction skills such as plumbing, joinery and general building work with a sound working knowledge of health & safety along with compliance. You will need to work with a high level of attention to detail and be able to prioritise your own workload whilst working closely with the wider team managing the let estate.
Who we’re looking for * A range of construction skills such as plumbing, joinery and general building work
* Sound knowledge of health & safety and compliance
* Some experience of working on historic properties
* Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload
* Attention to detail and pride in providing a high quality of workmanship
* A team player capable of playing a part in the wider estate management team
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
