Job Description:
Electrical Design Engineer * Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
* Location: Newport
* Salary: 45,000 - 55,000
Our client is seeking a confident Electrical Design Engineer with a detailed understanding of all aspects of electrical and electronic design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the development of new products and thrives in a highly regulated industry.
Day to day of the role: * Engage in electrical assembly and design, including wiring harness design and electronic control and interface design.
* Produce engineering drawings, build, and test guides.
* Work on AC/DC power distribution, analogue and digital circuit design.
* Conduct fault finding and problem-solving activities.
* Collaborate with other specialists within a project, advising on equipment design and integration.
* Meet tight deadlines and adhere to industry regulations while aiming to exceed customer expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Qualified engineer, ideally to degree-level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional experience in electrical design.
* Strong understanding of Machinery safety regulations, EU harmonised standards, and design of safety circuits.
* Experience in regulated environments with exposure to EN60204, EN13849, UL/NFPA regulations.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD/Solid Edge is highly desirable.
