Job Description:
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Educational Psychologist based in Cannock.
The salary for this permanent Educational Psychologist role is £57,465 - £67,000.
Main Duties:
* Working alongside other Therapists and Psychologists, the post-holder will ensure that the therapeutic needs of children and young people who attend a Horizon school are understood and interventions are planned and delivered to support these identified needs. They will provide therapeutic understanding of the young people to the wider team around the child including Teachers and TAs through consultation and training opportunities.
* Engage with children/young people and colleague to promote constructive working relationships.
* Provide consultation, support and guidance to colleague to develop therapeutically informed relationships with young people and to develop appropriate behaviour support and care planning strategies.
* Delivery of a psychological service to a number of schools, settings, and psychological advice to the Education team and local authority
* Develop and contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of therapeutic and psychological training.
* Deliver evidence based therapeutic and psychologically led care which conforms to their own ethical standards and is in line with Horizon’s Values and SHINE Therapeutic Model of Care.
* Undertake appropriate CPD activities in order to maintain HCPC standards of proficiency
Must Haves:
* Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
* Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
* Post qualification training in dyslexia/dyscalculia assessment.
* Horizon’s Values: Compassionate, Inspiring, Dependable and Collaborative.
* Clear and concise communication skills.
* Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant transferrable skills.
* Knowledge and skills of psychotherapeutic approaches, relevant to Looked after Children.
* Knowledge of legislation in relations to trauma, young people, mental health, or Looked after Children.
* Understanding of Ofsted regulations for Independent Schools.
* Professional registration as an Educational Psychologist with the BPS/HCPC
