Job description
Taskmaster Resources Ltd in Huddersfield are looking to recruit an experienced and competent Transport Administrator for a maternity leave cover post at the client in Bradford (BD1)
25 per week, 6-9 month contract to commence on 5th August 2024. (Start and end times are flexible but candidates should be available to start from around 9am on Weds & Thurs-may start later on other days).
JOB SPECIFICATION
Responsible for all administration duties within the transport department
Booking in deliveries with customers and providing updated information and instructions to the drivers
Maintaining records accurately and efficiently
Liaising with 3rd parties to arrange additional assistance for deliveries where required
KEY DUTIES
· Identifying and planning assistance for the drivers.
· Dealing with requests for transport from other departments.
· Liaising with customer on delivery date, times and requirements.
· Report vehicle breakdowns/faults to the transport manager (daily vehicle check sheets)
· Investigating delivery complaints, and report to the transport manager.
· Produce the drivers’ delivery paperwork.
· Book the deliveries in with the customers.
· Book ferries and prepare paperwork for Ireland deliveries.
· Booking in/out of sample furniture and maintaining the samples database.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Good interpersonal skills.
· IT Skills desirable.
· Work under own initiative.
· Ability to multitask.
