Hays are working with a fast paced manufacturing business in Telford who are recruiting a Cost Assistant/ Analyst within their Finance team
Your new role
This is an interesting and diverse role where your duties will include
* Prepare and analyse business production costs.
* Working closely with production to analyse variances to agreed and calculated standards.
* Working closely with sales staff to support in providing the correct costs for quoting purposes
* General support and cover for the costing and controlling activity of the business


What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess an Accounting qualification to at least AAT level and accounting experience & knowledge including understanding of costing techniques and variance analysis. However the business will also consider candidates who come from a supply chain, inventory or planning background and are very numerate and keen to build a career within costings and accounts. In both circumatances ideally you will have a good understanding of business processes
