DCT Recruitment are currently seeking a Trainee Logistics Operative to join our clients team.
This is permanent position based in Knowsley, Liverpool .

As a Trainee Logistics Operative, you will play a crucial role in managing our customers’ shipments throughout the full 360 process. This includes collection, warehousing, containing, packing, and shipping. While the position is mainly office-based, you will also be required to work in the warehouse, ensuring the efficiency of operations. Your day-to-day duties will be varied, and you will need to adapt quickly to changing priorities in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
– Manage the full shipment process, from collection to shipping
– Liaise with existing suppliers to obtain quotes and book containers
– Prepare and complete all required paperwork
– Oversee the physical aspect of the work in the warehouse
– Collaborate with the Export Packing and Warehouse teams

Requirements:
– Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
– Excellent timekeeping skills
– Previous experience dealing directly with customers
– Willingness to learn new skills and work outside of normal remit
– Desirable: Previous logistics/warehouse planning experience
