Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Basildon, Essex
Remuneration: Up to £40,000
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time position
Responsibilities:
* Lead a small team of Internal Sales Coordinators, providing support and guidance to ensure their success
* Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers
* Foster clear communication between the sales team and customers, ensuring effective interaction
* Keep customers updated on the progress of their orders and address any inquiries promptly
* Collaborate with Production Management to optimise production efficiency and schedule
* Conduct daily production meetings and make necessary adjustments
* Provide recurring order quotes to customers
* Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to relevant departments as needed
* Coordinate courier bookings, commercial invoices, and necessary paperwork
* Arrange collection of faulty goods and track returns
* Generate pick lists and delivery notes for dispatch
* Monitor delivery schedules and communicate concerns/shortages to relevant departments
* Maintain high standards of customer care during team member absences
* Generate monthly reports, identifying risks and potential financial losses
* Process sales orders, ensuring accurate project information and understanding for planning and production processes
* Update invoices on a daily basis
Qualifications, Skills, and Education Requirements:
* Previous experience managing or supervising a small team
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Background in a customer-facing role
* Strong attention to detail
* Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
