Class 1 HGV Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers (C+E), who will be responsible for transporting goods using heavy goods vehicles either on temporary or ongoing basis with Temp to Perm positions available for the right candidate.

Hours of work: approx. 2am to 3pm or 4am to 5pm
Set rotas available for those seeking regular work
Pay: from £17:00phr (OT also available)

Key Responsibilities: * Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to transport goods to specified destinations.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
* Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
* Maintain accurate driving logs and records as required by law.
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
* Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
Experience: * Valid Class 1 HGV license (C+E Licence) - must have a minimum of 18 months experience.
* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* Ability to drive long distances and work irregular hours and weekends.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
