Job Description:

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with one of our alternate provision schools based in Arnold. The school are looking to appoint a learning and behaviour mentor onto permanent contracts. School based experience is preferred but not essential. We are willing to consider people from:
* Health Care
* Residential Support
* Counsellors
* Teaching Assistants
* Sports Coaches
* Mentors
The school are looking for people who:
* Have a resilient attitude
* Can build relationships with children with challenging behaviours
* Will help to engage pupils within lessons
* Can act as a positive role model to the children
* Possess an empathy towards pupils from challenging backgrounds
The main duties within the role will be:
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis
* Leading academic sessions around maths and English
* Liaising with senior staff in school around progress of the children
* De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisen
This role will be full time and permanent and salary will be between £20,500 and £23,500 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
