**Salary:** £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 17:30
- Friday: 07:30 - 13:30

**About the Role:**

A distinguished mechanical engineering organisation, renowned for delivering complete project services across various industries such as Petro-Chemical, Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Pharmaceutical, is seeking a Pipework Surveyor. The primary focus of the role is to conduct site visits and create detailed manufacturing drawings for purchasing and fabrication purposes. Responsibilities include producing like-for-like equipment drawings, detailed piping, and steelwork designs, and developing new concepts. Collaboration with the CAD department, site installation team, and workshop engineering department is essential.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings, including general arrangements, part drawings, developments, and templates.
- Produce piping and steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of isometrics, general arrangements, and orthographics.
- Adhere to P&IDs when designing pipework drawings.
- Review and check detailed design drawings of piping systems, supports, and steelwork in accordance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Survey and produce design drawings for equipment replacements and modifications.
- Prepare and check bills of materials.
- Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects.
- Support the preparation of manufacturing work packs.

**Skills and Experience:**
- Extensive knowledge of piping design and calculations.
- Time-served Pipefitter or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with ASME & BS EN standards.
- Proficient in understanding petrochemical piping specifications with a strong emphasis on site surveys.
- Competence in using AutoCAD drawing software is advantageous but not essential.
- Solid experience in piping and steelwork within highly regulated industries such as Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and cryogenics.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Computer literate.
- Strong understanding and experience of safe working practices.
