Robert Half are exclusively engaged by a management consulting company to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their well-established finance team in a central Edinburgh location. This office is easily accessible by public transport, and the company offers truly flexible work arrangements: 1-2 days a week in the office with rest working from home, and flexitime allowing you to choose when the start and finish your work day.
The role of Finance Assistant will report to the Finance Manager, and work alongside with other colleagues in the finance and operational teams.
This role is initially a 14 month fixed-term contract, with potential to go permanent after.
Key responsibilities
* Sales ledger & purchase ledger: drafting invoices, credit control, preparing payment runs, recording purchase invoices, coordinating invoice approvals
* VAT preparations & returns
* Bank reconciliations, loan documentation
* Updating control sheets
* Processing & paying staff expenses
* Arranging recharges to SPVs
* General administrative tasks
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience in a similar position
* Strong communication skills
* Any relevant qualifications or education would be considered an advantage
On offer
* Salary of circa £27,000-£29,000

* Hybrid work with 1-2 days in the office per week
* Flexitime to allow an early/late finish and start
* Half day on Fridays
