We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a prestigious membership body and charity, operating with responsibility for day-to-day financial management of the organisation, working closely with accountants to review management accounting information and prepare accounts, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
* Oversee all income and expenditure processing, maintaining and improving bookkeeping and accounting systems.
* Maintain all ledgers and journals, and act as key contact with the organisation’s bank.
* Prepare for annual financial audits and ensure their successful delivery with external auditors.
* File annual return to the Charity Commission and Companies House.
* Undertake any budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience of the Finance Manager:
* Qualified through an approved body - including ACA, ACMA, CIPFA, CIMA, DoChM - or working towards qualification.
* At least three years’ experience of working in finance in a charity environment.
* Experience of production of budgets, management accounts analysis, and leading annual audit processes.
* Highly attentive to detail and analytical, with practical knowledge of SAGE 200 accounting software and production of accounts to Trial Balance level.
Salary and Benefits:
* £37,000 to £51,000 per annum.
* Permanent role, available to work either as a full-time position or 80% FTE.
* Hybrid working pattern; based in an office in Central London, with provision for remote working.
* Generous pension scheme and 30 days’ annual leave.
