Empowering Learning are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work within one of our partnered primary schools in the central Nottingham area. The role will be full time and hours of work will be 08:30-16:00
The main duties within this role will be:
* Working closely across KS1 and KS2 with pupils who require additonal support
* Supporting children on a 1:1 basis with autism and challenging behaviour
* Liaising with senior management and the school SENCO around progress
* Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
* Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
The school are looking for someone who:
* Has spent time working in schools (placement or paid work is fine)
* Possesses good knowledge of the primary school curriculum
* Is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
* Has good communication skills to liaise with staff and the pupils
* Can act as a positive role model for the children
