Job Description:
Assistant Accountant
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £34,000 - £38,000
An exciting position has arisen for an Assistant Accountant candidate to join one of the fastest retail technology service companies in the UK.
About the Role:
As an Assistant Accountant you will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing aspects of the finances within the company and making sure the finance processes are managed.

Candidates applying should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a bookkeeping/accounts role and be familiar with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Key responsibilities:
* Perform day to day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
* Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
* Provide timely and accurate financial information and reports
* Ensure that all processes used by the Finance Team are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and continuously improved.
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts
* Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely transactions
* Facilitate banking transactions and reconcile bank statements
About you:
Skills and Experiences Required:
* Demonstrated experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
* Proficient in using accounting software QuickBooks
* Working towards an accounting qualification (Desirable)
* Advanced skills in Excel.
