This London based County Council are looking to recruit an experienced Financial fraud Investigator for their housing benefit/financial assessment team. Ideally applicants will have gained an understanding of public sector organisations, preferably local government, coupled with housing fraud experience. Duties will include:- Assist with reviewing the existing and potential new case load of supported (exempt) accommodation tenants and providers. Challenging tenant eligibility for supported housing and provider eligibility under housing benefit regulations will be the main focus, as well as reducing the elements that make up the eligible rent. Extensive experience of working in an investigative environment, including undertaking interview, obtaining & preparing reports/materials for disciplinary or court hearings in accordance with strict guidelines and procedures.
