Financial Accountant
Worcester (Hybrid working)
£40,000 to £50,000 Basic (depending on experience) + benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and varied business that specialises in building projects, property development, building and property management, across the Midlands and South West. The business is entrepreneurial and flexible with a bright future. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant. This is a vital role with a broad remit.
Key objectives of the Financial Accountant role:
* To collate, create and submit accurate company / statutory accounts across the group to relevant bodies.
* To work as a member of the finance and facilities team, showing initiative, resourcefulness and creativity, and helping to ensure the smooth running of the office.
* Ensure that accounts are created promptly at the year end to assist with tax planning.
* To ensure that all records kept are an accurate representation of the business and ensure that accounting practices within the company fulfil all legal obligations.
Financial Accountant experience required includes:
* Experience of working within a similar role with strong analytical skills, knowledge of property tax and VAT
* Experience of creating and submitting final accounts to HMRC
* Experience of producing corporation tax returns, and in particular deferred tax and property fair value adjustments
* Good numeracy skills
* Flexible and enthusiastic attitude to work
* Good communication skills (oral and written)
* Ability to work as a reliable member of the team, developing positive relationships with colleagues, and outside agencies
