Job Description:
You’ll be heading up the Retail channel for a leading food / commodity global business with a strong UK & Ireland footing across private label & branded. Partnering with a specialist distributor to realise maximum coverage & customer management across the retail landscape.

Description
* A member of the UK and Ireland sales leadership team lead, develop and execute the sales strategy for the Retail channel
* Establish, further develop and implement category plans for target customers / accounts in close collaboration with marketing and channel department.
* Full responsibility and accountability to deliver against the annual operating plan for the Retail and Cash & Carry business.
* Establish and further develop sales plans for the relevant customer in order to drive new NPD and product listings.
* Build and maintain a strong customer relation network, especially developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships
* Prepare, plan and conduct contract negotiations in line with the profitable growth strategy and in line with the company governance
* Monitor the overall commercial performance and oversee customer contract management along with the distribution partner
* Analyse commercial performance and take appropriate actions to close gaps
* Represent the Retail & Cash&Carry in the UK/I, maintaining close contact with all other departments; Lead the cooperation with cross-functional department/partners in order to create value for the
Profile
Excellent knowledge of the Retail UK and Ireland channel within a private label & branded capacity.
Understanding of a distributor model, able to structure and execute trading via a third party, whilst leading key negotiations.
Setting and delivering growth agenda through setting, monitoring and partnering with a fully servicing specialist distributor.
A hands on, passionate Sales Director who can manage sizeable private label agreements, land re-tenders and own the customer / retail base.
Passion for the food / commodity category,
Strong passion for the profession, is eager and able to take ownership for the business.
