Job Requirements of this English Teacher job in Birmingham:
* Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience: Previous experience teaching English at Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE levels
Role Overview:
* Teach English to students aged 11 to 17 in a small, supportive setting
* Personalise learning to meet individual student needs
* Build professional, nurturing, and positive relationships with students
* Inspire students and create engaging learning opportunities
* Manage complex and challenging behaviours with attention, appropriate communication, consistency, and flexibility
* Participate in decision-making processes and contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities
* Occasionally cover at another Birmingham schools
