Job Description:
* Location: Union Street, SE1 0LL
* Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
The London Fire Brigade are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant on a 3-month temporary basis to provide efficient administrative and support services to the Fire Safety Regulation team.
Day to Day of the Role: * Plan and organise work to ensure timely completion of both routine and unexpected tasks.
* Process and supply information, maintaining and updating filing systems as required.
* Produce business documents, write routine correspondence and reports, and prepare meeting materials.
* Organise events, meetings, and interviews, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
* Process claims for payment, invoices, and handle documentation for purchases, addressing any discrepancies.
* Conduct regular audits of stock and equipment, ensuring maintenance is carried out as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Experience in writing correspondence
* Ability to organise, plan, and prioritise work to meet deadlines and targets.
* Experience with standard computerised office systems
* Competent keyboard skills for data entry and document creation.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Understanding of equalities policy, health and safety practices, and data confidentiality.
