Job Description:
My client, a private equity backed SaaS business operating within the entertainment industry seeks an interim Revenue Accountant for a 6-month contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate profitability reporting on new and existing deals and providing critical financial insights on margin. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant with a strong background in management/revenue accounting and exceptional analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Revenue Analysis: Analyse trends in monthly revenue and ensure precise revenue recognition within financial statements.
* Gross Margin Analysis: Conduct gross margin analysis and ensure that invoices have the correct Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
* Reconciliation: Reconcile different revenue/billing metrics across the business (e.g., closed-won sales, billed revenue, recognised revenue).
* Financial Reporting: Deliver regular financial reports to various stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant with a proven track record in management/revenue accounting.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and understand variances and underlying reasons.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and an inquiring mind for accurate financial reporting.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with various departments and stakeholders.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service.
This role sits within IR35 and is offered on a hybrid 3/2 basis.
